Personalised teaching, not generic tutoring

No two students learn in the same way. My sessions are fully personalised — shaped around each student’s strengths, gaps, confidence level, and goals. Whether a student needs to raise an SAT score, master AP English coursework, or build fluency in English as a second language, lessons are adapted in real time based on how they respond and progress.

I don’t use one-size-fits-all worksheets or recycled lesson plans. Instead, each session is planned with the individual student in mind, ensuring time is spent where it matters most.

Proven classroom experience

I am a fully qualified teacher with PGCE and QTS status and have taught in London and Thai classrooms. I have also worked extensively with pupils who have learning difficulties and special needs (SEN). This means I bring real teaching experience, not just subject knowledge. I understand how students learn, how to explain complex ideas clearly, and how to support students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or lacking confidence.

Having worked with students of mixed abilities, including those who struggle academically and those aiming for top grades, I know how to stretch high-achievers while also building foundations for those who need more support.

Expert academic background

I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in English from the University of Cambridge. This allows me to teach at a high academic level while still breaking concepts down in a clear, accessible way. Students benefit from strong subject expertise combined with practical exam strategy and clear explanations.

Academic progress isn’t just about knowledge — it’s about confidence. Many students know more than they think but struggle under exam pressure or lack belief in their ability. A core part of my approach is helping students feel confident in their thinking, writing, and communication so they can perform at their best in exams and in the classroom.

I was born and raised in Aruba and later studied and taught abroad. This means I understand the local education context while bringing international standards and experience into my teaching. Parents can expect high-quality, professional tutoring with a personal, approachable style.
